Still Hot

Went to a trap shoot today.  Brutally hot even at 8:00. Only 6 guys including me showed up.  Everyone shot 2 rounds and we were done by 9:30.  I didn't do very well 17/25 each round.  I get in a hurry and over think. 

Just to show how hot and humid it really is this cat has not moved for hours.  You can step over him.  He doesn't even raise his head.

Have to go to Mass.  I don't think we will cook tonight just get something out.

HOT

I know that the heat has been over the news for the last week.  Just to give an example of how hot it is. The temperature as I write is 92 with a real feel of 106.  The humidity is so bad that Mom dropped an ice cube last night in the front hall and the puddle was still there at 1:30 this afternoon.  No evaporation possible.  Any sweat produced simply lays there.  Dripping has become the local pastime.  Very large crowds yesterday at the Ice Delli. Not much air moving either. Just hiding inside. They say a break next week.

I have been admiring the absolute profunda of flora that Mom has collected in the yard.  There is so much beauty that there is not much room for more plantings

Every day I remember when the back yard was a mud hole deeper than David at the time and the front yard did not have a single flower.

I am so grateful to Mom for all her efforts.

Quick observation.  Went to the gym this morning and even though it was air conditioned the humidity managed to invade the place.  Everyone was drenched.
I cleaned off my computer table and substituted one that cooty was no longer using.  This one is much smaller which gives more room to the room.  Found a $50 gift card that I had lost on the old table, which is now my new craft table.  As soon as I organize that I will post some photos.

Another rainy Wednesday

It's raining again.  What a change from last year.  Then, we couldn't catch a storm for love or money. This seems like perhaps a little more than average for a rainy summer.  Oh well, there are bright spots.  No sense in going to the gym in the rain.  Guess I will have to stay in and have a leisurely breakfast. Since it's cooler I will make a few beads.

A quick note on the 4th

Quick comment on the 4th of July.  A really nice day. Went to Dave's for a cookout and spent about 3 hours there.  Mason crashed at about 3.  He was so tired, he was weepy. Had a nice dinner and watched a movie.  I really like spending time with Sarah and Ann. I may go to either the gym or range tomorrow.  I'll see what the weather is like.  Saw Colleen and Justin and Ann heard from Ben.  All in all a really nice day.  Skipped the fireworks and really didn't miss them.  The dog and cat are frazzled but that is to be expected.

Rainy day

Another rainy day.  Not that it is pouring, but just that gentile intermittent rain that precludes any reasonable outdoor activity. Oh well,  I am off to the basement to make beads.  I think my sweetie needs a new bracelet and earrings.
